Moscow – CMS, one of the leading international law firms in Russia, is pleased to announce that Maxim Boulba has been appointed as the new Head of Competition group in CMS Moscow office as of 8 July 2010.
Since 2000 Maxim has been advising foreign investors on Russian anti-monopoly requirements and obtaining antitrust clearance in relation to the acquisition of companies and assets located in Russia. He has successfully represented corporate clients in administrative proceedings before the antimonopoly authorities. His clients include various international telecom companies, IT companies and electronics producers. Yevgeny Voevodin, who has led the CMS Competition group in Russia for 5 years, is leaving CMS. “We are always sorry to see partners leave the firm but we wish Yevgeny every success”, - says John Hammond, Senior partner at CMS, Russia.
CMS will continue to strengthen its successful Competition practice, most recently with the addition of another partner Elena Zhigaeva, that “points towards a bright future for CMS", as stated in the latest Chambers Europe rankings in 2010.
“Our strategic investment in the Group reflects the need for detailed knowledge and experience of the increasingly sophisticated international competition legal environment – this is something to which our clients are very responsive”, commented Jean-Francois Marquaire, Managing partner at CMS, Russia.
